The quantity of computer requirement has for so long depended on empirical estimation, how-ever the method, that how to accurate measure and calculate computer demand, is used to be lack of thought-ful but actually concerns library infrastructure investment. The essay applied queuing theory into service and management system of E-reading room, by establishing mathematical model of multiple service windows &customer-losing queuing system M/M/s/K, simulating the real-world running condition, in order to find the optimal quantity of computer requirement and facilitate investment decision-making.
