在新兴生物技术研究领域，中国正成为世界该领域文章发表数目领先国家之一。中国生物技术研究国际地位的兴起，是由区域生物技术研发活动中枢承担的。为明确中国生物技术研究文章的区域分布，研究构建了涵盖1990年至2012年间中国生物技术文章发表的专门数据库，发现中国生物技术研究的地理分布具有区域不均衡特点，大多数领先地区都位于华东地区(包括北京、上海)及一系列新兴区域中枢(如广东和江苏等)。中部和西部属于生物技术研究欠发达地区。上海和香港属于生物技术研究国际合作活跃地区，其它地区国内合作要比国际合作活跃。

In the emerging field of biotechnology research, China is becoming the world leader in the number of published articles in this field. This paper shows that the rise of China’s international status of biotechnology research is undertaken by a regional hub of bio-technology research and development activities. To determine the regional distribution of Chinese biotechnology research articles, the pa-per constructed databases covering 1990 to 2012 biotechnology published articles in China. After standardizing the information of the dis-tribution of biotechnology address, we revise the database. By analyzing the revised database, we understand the development of China’s regional biotechnology research, and draw the diagram of inter-regional and international cooperation. We find that the geographical distri-bution of Chinese biotechnology research is not balanced with regional characteristics, most of the leading regions are located in East Chi-na ( including Beijing, Shanghai) and a series of new regional hubs ( such as Guangdong and Jiangsu, etc. ) . Central and western parts belong to underdeveloped regions in the sense of biotechnology researches. Shanghai and Hong Kong are active in biotechnology research and international cooperation;other areas are active in domestic than international cooperation. Although the new regional field of biotech-nology research center has emerged, but the paper argues that the center of eastern China reinforces existing imbalances of Chinese sci-ence and technology capabilities;in turn, may strengthened the new technology commercialization dominant position in the area.
