由于汉诗悠久的传统，导致汉诗独特的意象系统，具体表现在汉诗意象的象征义方面，并不同于英诗的意象系统。因此，汉诗意象的英译，应该采取以意为主、以意为先的翻译策略。具体而言，对于名词意象的英译，应注意其联想义；对于动词意象的英译，应注意其精确到位。译诗应避免浅层理解之上的浅层之译，并努力做到深层理解之上的深层之译。

유우한시유구적전통，도치한시독특적의상계통，구체표현재한시의상적상정의방면，병불동우영시적의상계통。인차，한시의상적영역，응해채취이의위주、이의위선적번역책략。구체이언，대우명사의상적영역，응주의기련상의；대우동사의상적영역，응주의기정학도위。역시응피면천층리해지상적천층지역，병노력주도심층리해지상적심층지역。
The long tradition of Chinese poems entails its unique system of images manifested in its symbolic meaning,which is different from that of English poems.Therefore,in translating Chinese poems into English,precedence of meaning shall be adopted as the translation strategy.As for the English trans-lation of noun images,symbolic meaning shall be highlighted;as for the English translation of verb ima-ges,accuracy and appropriateness shall be considered.A translator shall,instead of shallow translation based on shallow understanding,accomplish deep translation based on deep understanding.
