Native language does not always have negative impact on language learning. As it is, native language also plays a posi?tive role, functions positive transfer and promote bilingual communication as well. Based on analyzing the similarities between Mon?golian and English languages in the aspects of phonetic, lexicon and grammar, the paper intends to discuss the positive functions of Mongolian in Mongolian students’English learning with a purpose improve teaching effect.
