By analyzing the geometric features of offset conical heads, its mathematical model was established and the equation for spreading out conical shell was then deduced, which can be used in cutting material for the fabrication of conical head in engineering. By using this mathematical model and combined with the design of guiding track in kettle heat exchanger, the equation of intersection line was deduced, and furthermore, the practical and simple drawing method was summarized, so that the problems existed in design and fabrication of guiding track were solved.
