多元文化课程是一种自由、平等、宽容的课程理念。多元文化课程的目标是多元的,其根本点在于致力于促进不同文化或民族的社会公平和机会均等的实现。多元文化课程的学习,应该从发展学生基本的认知能力;促进学生道德品质的提高;培养学生的社会技能,提高其在不同文化中的适应能力,实现个人的自我发展入手。多元文化课程评价,必须由知识评价转向文化评价,评价的功能也应该由甄别、选拔转向促进教师、学生、学校以及社会文化的发展。

Multicultural curriculum is a kind of free, equal, tolerant course concept. The goal of multicultural curriculum is diverse, which roots are dedicated to promoting the accomplishment of social justice and equality of opportunity between different culture and peoples. Learning multicultural curriculum should start with the development of basic cognitive ability, promoting the improvement of students' moral quality, cultivating the students' social skills, improving their ability to adapt in different culture, realizing the self development of the individual. The evaluation of multicultural curriculum must be transferred from evaluating culture by knowledge to that by culture. The function of the evaluation should be also from identifying and selecting to promoting the development of teachers, students, schools, and social culture.
