“脸”是个富含哲学深度的意象，思考人的脸，就等于思考人的复杂性。在关于脸面的思想中，脸谱、面具、面子文化很普遍，而列维纳斯的“脸孔”伦理学思想尤为突出。在文学文本中，“脸面”意象也很普遍，但通过“脸面”来挖掘叙事的思想深度方面，当代作家少有触及，而福建作家陈希我无意地呈现了这种叙事效果。结合列维纳斯的脸面伦理学思想，以脸面文化的社会寓意作为背景，我们可以发现陈希我小说中的脸面意象特别异常，他在有意无意的脸部细节书写里取得了最为深邃的伦理意义。

The face is an image rich in philosophical significance, so the contemplation on the human face is equal to one on man’ s complexity. Of various ideas on the face, facial makeup, masks, and the face culture are very universal, with Levinas’ s idea of“the face” ethics being prominent. Moreover, the“face” image is also com-monplace in literature texts, but few contemporary writers have ever delved into the ideological depth of narrative through “the face”, as is opposed to Chen Xiwo, a writer from Fujian, who has subconsciously demonstrated such a narrative effect. By referring to Levinas’ s idea of the face ethics and the social implication of the face culture, one can discern that the face image is particularly unique in Chen Xiwo’ s novels, for he has acquired the most pro-found ethical significance in his conscious or subconscious description of facial details.
