陈相明教授认为，腰椎间盘突出症病因病机为患者外感风寒湿热邪气与外伤或慢性劳损，导致督脉的脉气闭阻，总督诸阳功能失司，阳气不能正常输布以濡养筋肉骨节，而出现腰腿疼痛、肢体痿弱无力等症状。中医多辨证为痰瘀阻滞型、气血亏虚型，陈教授主张采用化痰祛瘀通脉法和益气养血通络法治疗，取得了较好的效果。
陳相明教授認為，腰椎間盤突齣癥病因病機為患者外感風寒濕熱邪氣與外傷或慢性勞損，導緻督脈的脈氣閉阻，總督諸暘功能失司，暘氣不能正常輸佈以濡養觔肉骨節，而齣現腰腿疼痛、肢體痿弱無力等癥狀。中醫多辨證為痰瘀阻滯型、氣血虧虛型，陳教授主張採用化痰祛瘀通脈法和益氣養血通絡法治療，取得瞭較好的效果。
진상명교수인위，요추간반돌출증병인병궤위환자외감풍한습열사기여외상혹만성로손，도치독맥적맥기폐조，총독제양공능실사，양기불능정상수포이유양근육골절，이출현요퇴동통、지체위약무력등증상。중의다변증위담어조체형、기혈우허형，진교수주장채용화담거어통맥법화익기양혈통락법치료，취득료교호적효과。
Professor Chen Xiangming held the opinion that pathogenesis of protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc was external infection of cold dampness, injury or chronic strain, which led to impotency in governor meridian, loss of Zhuyang function and abnormal distribution of Yang. These were the reasons for waist, leg pain, and limbs feebleness. This disease had main syndrome differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine as phlegm and blood stasis type, deficiency of Qi and blood type. Professor Chen commended implement of phlegm reducing stasis removing meridian connecting method and qi reinforcing blood nourishing collaterals dredging method, which could provide precise effect in treatment.
