This paper reviews the application of two-step methods including adsorption ,chemical co-precipitation ,reac-tivation ,and one-step methods in the preparation of magnetic activated carbon .Their advantages and disadvantages were discussed ,and their effects on the properties of magnetic activated carbon were discussed .Finally ,the problems that should be paid attention to in the future are also put forward .
