Objective:To investigate the effect of nutritional intervention on tolerance and quality of life in cervical cancer patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Methods:All 86 cervical cancer patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy were randomly divided into the nutritional intervention group (n =43)and the control group (n =43).To observe the radiotherapy interruption rates and the completed chemotherapy cycles. The quality of life when patients received radiotherapy dosages to 40Gy were detected by EORTC QLQ -C30.Results:The radiotherapy inter-ruption rates of the nutritional intervention group and the control group were 2.3%(1 /43)and 18.6%(8 /43),P =0.03.The completed chemotherapy cycles of the nutritional intervention group and the control group were 4.0 ±0.98 and 3.3 ±1.28,P =0.005.The quality of life when patients received radiotherapy dosages to 40Gy had significantly different scores between the two groups (P <0.05).Conclusion:Nutritional intervention can effectively improve the tolerance and quality of life in cervical cancer patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy.
