教授治学是我国当前高等教育改革和发展中的基本问题，探索教授治学的有效途径，发挥教授在治学、学术研究和学校管理中的作用，是教授治学的指导思想和核心问题。面对呼声日益高涨的高校去行政化改革浪潮，有必要澄清教授治学的内涵，客观对待教授治学面临的行政干预困境，理清教授治学在高校去行政化改革中的地位和作用，推动当前高校去行政化改革的步伐。

Professors’ role of academic governance is a basic problem of current Chinese higher education reform and development.The exploration on effective channels of academic governance and playing the role of professors in the academic management,research and school administration is the guiding ideology and the core problem of pro-fessors’ academic governance.Facing the growing call on administrative removal reform in colleges and universities, it is necessary to clarify the connotation of professors’ academic governance,deal with the dilemma of administrative intervention for professors’ academic governance objectively,recognize the role of professors academic governance correctly in administrative removal reform of colleges and universities,and promote the current reform of administra-tive removal in colleges and universities.
