The fundamental and related theory for combustion synthesis of ferrovanadium nitride was studied. As combustion synthesis is on the base of“solid flame”study, some characteristics related to solid flame were de-scribed. The combustion synthesis process of ferrovanadium nitride and its metallurgy characteristics were also in-troduced.
