In the paper, the composition of HAN-based monopropellant is briefly introduced and the HAN-based monopropellant is compared with hydrazine monopropellant from catalytic decomposition performance, toxicity, environmental friendliness and other aspects. HAN-based monopropellant has obvious advantages in the high energy density and low toxicity field. At last, the paper demonstrates the following research and application direction of HAN-based monopropellant.
