A design of AGC (automatic gain control) suitable for frequency hopping (FH) communication receiver was presented. The design, which was implemented on simple analog circuit, had been applied FH communication receiver with 225MHz—512MHz, symbol rate 200k Bd/s, 8PSK modulation and FH rate 1 000hop/s. According to the analysis on AGC characteristics of FH communication receiver, AGC and its circuit implementation were described in detail.
