医患纠纷的发生以及解决不但与纠纷的主体有紧密的联系，与政府及社会相关组织也有着不可或缺的关系。医方注重人文情感能加强医患之间的沟通可减少医患纠纷；医方健全规章制度、实施规范化的管理亦可降低纠纷；医方要重视宣教，在纠纷中要争取积极主动，抱着诚信提前介入，可避免纠纷产生或使纠纷得到顺利解决。政府及社会相关组织应开辟诉讼外的解决机制和途径，减少诉讼，提高医患纠纷解决的有效性。医患纠纷的社会属性决定了纠纷的预防和处置需要医方、政府及社会相关各方的共同努力。
