This paper summarizes the experiences with regard to green mine construction in Altay region of Xinjiang. The speciifc methods are focused on the following. They have worked out an implementation plan, that is the green mine construction planning in Altay region. And an evaluation system of green mines has been formed in this region. Green mine construction have involved three levels of the state, region, and prefectures (municipalities) and counties. In addition, three important means that they have used are green mining technology, green ore-dressing and reifning technology, and green reclamation technology.
