以美国康奈尔大学、德州农工大学和密西西比州立大学风景园林专业植物相关课程在课程设置、主要内容与要求、考核方法等方面进行介绍和比较，总结出其特点：必修课要求少，选修课更灵活；重实践应用，综合训练多；重过程和阶段教学，考核方式多样化。结合我国高校风景园林专业植物相关课程存在的问题，总结美国3所高校在园林植物相关课程教学方面给我们的启发：优化植物相关课程体系和教学方法；注重过程教学和阶段考核；增加综合实践。

According to the analysis of curriculum design, main contents and requirements, and assessment methods of landscape plants related courses of Landscape Architecture Major in Cornell University, Texas A & M University, and Mississippi State University, we summarized that they have less compulsory course requirements and more flexible elective lesson; emphasize on practical application with more professional comprehensive training; pay more attention to the process and stages teaching; and the assessment methods are diverse. Based on the shortcomings and problems existed in the counterpart of China, the inspiration for us are optimizing curriculum system and teaching methods in landscape plants related courses; focusing on the process of teaching and stages assessments; increasing comprehensive practices.
