张大千先生是中国近代绘画史上的一代宗师。在人物画、山水画、花鸟画上，他都有很高的艺术造诣。在花鸟画中，画荷是大千先生尤为擅长的。历经数十年的努力和探索，“大千荷”在中国近代绘画艺术史上独领风骚，具有重要的美学研究价值。其审美特质表现为：水墨为题，气韵生动之美；没骨点戳，清新艳丽之美；泼墨泼彩，气势宏壮之美。

Mr.ZHANG Da-qian was a master in the painting history of modern China.He made high artistic achieve-ments in paintings of figures,landscape and flower and birds.In the flower-bird paintings,he especially was good at painting lotus.After several decades of effort and exploration,“Da-qian Lotus Painting”found its unique status in the painting history of modern China and had important aesthetic research value.Its unique aesthetic features are expressed as:water ink as the form with vivid artistic concept and beauty,key necessary splash with fresh and gorgeous beauty,splash of ink and color with grandeur.
