In the process of daily use of NexION 300 inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP–MS) which was made by PE company,common faults occurred such as difficult to“ignite”,easy to“turn off”,low sensitivity,high oxide and bad precision. The reasons were analyzed and the troubleshooting methods were put forward. The suggestions for the daily maintenance of the ICP–MS were discussed.
