The red resources are the historical culture heritages left over by the Communist Party of China in leading the Chinese people of all ethnic groups during the long-term revolutionary struggle and practice. The value and strategy of ap-plication of the red resources to the ideological and political education of the college students are analyzed. The path of practical teaching by applying the red resources to the ideological and political education is explored to enhance the effec-tiveness of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
