钒是动物必需的微量元素之一,它参与和调节动物体内各种重要的生理过程。动物可以通过空气和饲料原料来获取钒,适量的钒有利于动物的生长,但是过量就会对机体产生毒性作用。钒主要是通过产生氧化损伤、免疫功能障碍及损害肠道等毒性作用,从而影响动物的生产性能。相比于其他动物,鸡体内的钒含量较高,对其毒性也更敏感。本文综述了钒对鸡的生产性能、氧化作用、免疫功能及肠道健康的影响,并简要分析了这些影响产生的潜在机制,旨在为今后生产中更安全、有效地利用钒奠定理论基础。

Vanadium is an essential trace element for animals, and participates in the regulation of various physiological process in the body. Animals ingest vanadium from air and feed resources, while the moderate level of vanadium is in favor of the growth of animals, but excessive dosage could have toxic effects on the health of animals. The toxicity of vanadium mainly induces oxidative damage, immunity dysfunction and intes-tinal impairment, thus led to some negative effect on production performance. Compared to the mammals, va-nadium content is higher in the body of chicken and it is more vulnerable to the toxicity of vanadium. This re-view focused on the effects of vanadium mainly on animal health such as oxidation, immunity and intestinal health, meanwhile briefly analysed the potential mechanism of these exerted influences, with the aiming at pro-viding a theoretical basis for using vanadium more safely and effectively in animal industry.
