With the development of web technology and the electronic information,medical education has entered the era of electronic information. Medical education is advancing,and E-Learning is not a new concept for most in the medical profession. However,it is rare-ly mentioned in teaching of oral and maxillofacial surgery. E-Learning with its powerful update speed and the diversity of learning mate-rials,can cater to the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching. This article introduced the development,characteristics,ap-plication and investigation of E-Learning teaching in oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching,providing a reference for E-Learning teach-ing in medical colleges and universities.
