In order to solve the problems that might cause the quality of high ammonia nitrogen wastewater from coal chemical industry out of the discharge limits, no-limited double cycle (NDC) reactor technology was developed. The structure, technical mechanism, technological innovation points of NDC reactor and its application effect in actual engineering were introduced. The projects operation showed that, NDC reactor had strong anti shock loading capability, which could obtain a stable effluent water quality and a good treatment effect on NH3-N and TN. Under the condition that the mass concentrations of CODCr, NH3-N and TN in influent water were lower than 1 200, 350, 400 mg/L respectively, the corresponding indexes of the effluent water were lower than 50, 12 and 20 mg/L respectively, the removal rates could all reach above 95%.
