胃肠功能障碍是危重病患者的常见病和多发病，多处于疾病的终末期，预后一般均较差。胃肠道在疾病演变过程中起着重要的角色，疾病过程中胃肠功能得不到有效的保护，则不利于疾病的治疗与预后。李东垣《脾胃论》提出“内伤脾胃，百病由生”的论点，认为脾胃是人体生、长、寿、养的根本，若脾胃受伤，人体的精气血精液受其影响出现一系列病理现象，人体正常的生命活动自然无法维系。由此可知，中医药在胃肠疾病领域方面有着一定的重要性。

Gastrointestinal dysfunction is a common disease and frequently encountered disease in critical care patients ,more than in the end-stage of disease ,the prognosis is poor .In the gastrointestinal tract disease plays an important role in the pro-cess of evolution ,in the process of the disease can not get effective protection of gastric bowel function ,is not conducive to the treatment and prognosis of disease .LI Dongyuan“spleen and stomach theory” put forward“internal injuries taste ,born all ills by”argument ,that taste is the human body ,growth ,long life ,raising the fundamental ,if the spleen and stomach in-juries ,the body of qi-blood semen affected by a series of pathological phenomena ,human normal life activities of the natural unsustainable .Therefore ,Chinese medicine has a certain significance in the field of gastrointestinal diseases .
