This experiment was conducted to study the effects of double mixed bacterial cultures of Brewer's yeast andBacillus subtilis on milk yield and milk quality of the period of lactation of Holstein dairy cow. Totally 20 healthy and similar body condition cows were divided into two groups in pair. The control group was fed with basal diets, and the trail group was fed with basal diets and 1kg/d mixed bacterial cultures every cows. The feeding triallasted for 42 days with 7 pre-feeding days and 35 trial days. The milk yield and milk quality of the control and trail group were determined. The results showed that: compared with the control group, after the addition of mixed bacterial cultures for 35 days, milk yield can significantly increased(P<0.05); milk fat rate, protein rate, lactose and urea nitrogen rate of trial group were increased 2.17%,1.16%,1.62%,0.71%(P>0.05); somatic reduced 20.80%(P<0.05).It concluded that the application of mixed bacterial cultures in diet of dairy cattle had good effects in promoting milk yield and improving milk quality.
