科举制是中国古代选官制度，到清代日臻成熟，士子读书应考已然成为其出仕的主要出路。而研究者多着力于科举考试中取中士子的研究，对下第举子的关注甚少。文章从下第举子入手，通过对清代明通榜定义、推行缘由进行阐述，结合明通进士在清代文坛政坛中所起到的作用，以期引起学者对下第问题的重视。
과거제시중국고대선관제도，도청대일진성숙，사자독서응고이연성위기출사적주요출로。이연구자다착력우과거고시중취중사자적연구，대하제거자적관주심소。문장종하제거자입수，통과대청대명통방정의、추행연유진행천술，결합명통진사재청대문단정단중소기도적작용，이기인기학자대하제문제적중시。
Imperial Examination System was a officer-selecting system in feudal China. It had been fully developed in the Qing Dynasty. It was the main way for the scholars to become government members. Literature show more studies about those who were successful but little attention was paid to those who failed the exam. Considering this,the“Ming Tong List” is stud-ied in terms of definition and why it was developed. It expects to draw more academic attention to this issue.
