“萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说(Sapir–wharf Hypothesis)”,分为强式与弱式两种版本,是关于语言与思维关系的重要理论,认为语言只是在一定程度上影响思维,并不起制约或主导作用。从“内容与形式”的哲学角度,论述“假说”强式版本的不当之处,支持“假说”的弱势版本,并从英汉语语言的差异中对比总结,探寻这些语言差异带给两种语言使用者思维上的不同,从而进一步深化语言对思维影响的论断。
“薩丕爾-沃爾伕假說(Sapir–wharf Hypothesis)”,分為彊式與弱式兩種版本,是關于語言與思維關繫的重要理論,認為語言隻是在一定程度上影響思維,併不起製約或主導作用。從“內容與形式”的哲學角度,論述“假說”彊式版本的不噹之處,支持“假說”的弱勢版本,併從英漢語語言的差異中對比總結,探尋這些語言差異帶給兩種語言使用者思維上的不同,從而進一步深化語言對思維影響的論斷。

"Sapir-Wolf hypothesis", which is divided into strong version and weak version , an important theory about the relation be-tween language and thinking that language has an influence on thinking to a certain extent, but language does not restrict or play a leading role in thinking .The inappropriate point of the strong version of the"Hypothesis"is to be analyzed from the perspective of"content and form"and the weak version of"Hypothesis"is supported and differences between English and Chinese language are compared and sum-marized and different thinking of the two language users because of these differences in language is explored so as to further deepen the conclusion that language has an influence on thinking.
