In the industry, the argon tungsten-arc spot welding technique is widely used in the welding of the stain-less steel water tank screw fasteners. This paper compares the performance of stored energy stud welding and argon arc welding by experiments. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the application of stored energy stud welding in the stainless steel water tank.
