A method that can locate fault quickly with fault indicators for 10kV overhead lines was introduced in the paper. It includes the structure and the parts of the system. Furthermore, how to locate fault when a fault occurs was also referred besides applications of the system and distribution of fault indicators. The place where a fault occurs can be located exactly and the fault was eliminated expediently. Application efifciency of fault indicators and the economy were improved to a great extent.
