The confectionery sunflower hybrid NS005 was bred by Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences by crossing the CMS line F365A and the restorer line MR. The average yield of the variety was 3 934.5 kg/hm 2, increasing 12.8% compared with that of the control variety. The breeding process, characteristics, features and the main points of the cultivation technology for the confectionery sunflower NS005 are introduce briefly.
