将汉语新词文化图式界定为汉语新词所蕴涵的文化知识结构块，是存在于人们大脑中关于汉语新词的文化知识组织模式，这一组织模式可以调用来感知和理解汉语新词所表述的文化现象。汉语新词文化图式翻译可以采用直译、意译、音译和回译等方法。具体的选择需要有利于英语读者对汉语新词文化图式所蕴涵的文化内涵的理解，在此基础之上尽量考虑到汉语文化图式翻译的中国文化传播目的。

Cultural Schemata of Chinese Neologisms can be defined as cultural knowledge structure blocks of Chinese neologisms.They are the cultural knowledge organizing models about Chinese neologisms existing in the human brain, which can be used to perceive and comprehend the cultural phenomena expressed by Chinese neol-ogisms.Such approaches as literal translation, liberal translation, transliteration and back translation can be ap-plied to translating Chinese neologisms into English.The specific choice of the translation approach should bene-fit the understanding of the cultural content of the cultural schemata of Chinese neologisms by English readers, and the transmission of Chinese culture as well.
