以水利文化为核心的淮河文化历史悠久而独特，包含了大量丰富的思想政治教育资源，可以为当今国民和社会发展提供很多有益的借鉴和帮助。首先，兼容并蓄的水文化特质内含的宽容思想可以缓和当下中国社会存在的紧张对立情绪，培育国民理性、平和、开放、包容的心态。其次，热爱家乡，眷恋乡土之情怀可以激发大迁徙中的人们家国情怀，增强故土归属感，爱家爱国。第三，勇于担当的政治责任感和敢为人先的改革创新精神，可以提升新生代政治使命感和社会历史担当。第四，老庄“天人合一”的生态思想，可以对人类中心主义进行矫正，为化解人类面临的生态危机提供理论支撑。

The long history and uniqueness of Huai River culture, whose core is water conservancy, embodies a-bundant thoughts of political and educational resources, which provides much beneficial reference and help for the current national and social development.Firstly, the thought of tolerance connoted in the fully inclusive and equitable water culture could ease the hostile tension existent in current China, and cultivate the citizens'sense, moderation, openness and tolerate mentality.Secondly, the love of one's hometown and nostalgic feelings could stimulate the migrants'patriotism and enhance their sense of belonging to their homeland.Thirdly, the bearing of political responsibility and the spirit of pioneer innovation could promote the new generation's political sense of mission and social historical responsibility.Fourthly, the unity of natural and ecological thoughts in Laozi's and zhuangzi's philosophical theories could revise anthropocentrism and provide theoretical support for resolving the ecological crisis which faces the human beings.
