The quantitative assessment method for the development adaptability of electric power communication network and power grid is presented in the paper. Based on the statistical data in previous years for the communication network and power grid, the grey relational degree of interaction between the construction scale of electric power communication network and the development level of power grid in Hunan is calculated, and the inherent correlation rule of development between the communication network and the power grid is concluded. The theoretical and practical significance is presented in guiding the development plan and investment of electric power communication network.
