细菌耐药监测是一项长期战略性工作，世界各地都建立了相应的细菌耐药监测网。细菌耐药监测的结果已经成为抗菌药物合理应用的重要依据。但是由于细菌耐药监测网涉及的医院范围广，各级医院的微生物检测水平参差不齐等原因，监测数据的质量难以保证，因此必须加强病原菌的检测工作，进一步提高细菌耐药监测水平。
