The paper expounded the reactive voltage control strategy and introduced the conditions of reactive conifguration, reactive balance and N-1 voltage level in southern power grid. Analysis was made to the problems existing in reactive voltage operation of southern power grid. This paper gave some advices of reactive voltage working from the aspects of power grid operation arrangement, static reactive power com-pensation, reactive layered and zoned balance control, dynamic reactive power support, automatic voltage control (AVC), and voltage reactive power supervision and management.
