In this paper, we analyzed the structure of the heavy-duty railway transportation technical system, then in view of the current status and development trend of the heavy duty railway transportation technologies in China, proposed the necessity and design principle of the heavy-duty railway transportation technology in China, and on such basis, established the development objective system of the heavy-duty railway transportation technologies in China.
