The core competitiveness of higher vocational colleges is a concrete manifestation of the comprehensive strength of school-running, and is the solid platform for higher vocational colleges to obtain sustainable survival and development. Through the analysis of the development orientation of higher vocational colleges and connotation and components of core competitiveness, the paper puts forward five aspects to enhance the core competitiveness of higher vocational colleges:from the teaching staff, the third party evaluation system, talents training mode, executive power and specialties with characteristics.
