By application of the excavation setting of the diversion tunnel and the control points arranged on the rock wall of Wudongde Hydropower Project, the specific implementation methods and application of free station in the construction surveying of the diversion tun-nel of Wudongde Hydropower Project are introduced.Furthermore, the surveying advantages of the free station are proposed.The survey-ing precision satisfies the requirements of specification as well.
