潘懋元高等教育学科建设思想可归纳为五点:立足高等教育实践,把实践作为学科建设的起点;推动学科理论研究,把理论建构作为学科发展的基础;坚持理论研究和实践应用相互促进发展;倡导本土意识和中国学科特色发展,反对依附主义;推动高等教育学国际化,提升学科影响力。实践证明,潘懋元的学科建设思想具有重要功用:指出高等教育的独特性,奠定了学科的学术根基;提出并通过实践成功走出一条独特的、有创造性的学科建设道路;丰富和强化了理论研究和应用研究相结合的学科建设一般法则;由本土走向国际的思想开拓了学科发展的广阔空间;思行统一为学科建设提供了科学的方法论指导。今后,应坚持和践行潘懋元的学科建设思想,助推我国高等教育学新发展。

Pan Maoyuan’s thoughts of higher pedagogy construction can be summarized as the fol-lowing five points:focusing on the practice of higher education and taking discipline construction as the starting point;promoting theoretical research;taking theoretical construction as the foundation of the dis-cipline development;adhering to mutual promotion and development of theoretical research and practical application,advocating local awareness and development with Chinese characteristics,being against de-pendency,promoting internalization of higher pedagogy and raising its influence power. Practice has proved that Pan Maoyuan’s disciplinary construction thoughts have the important functions which re-spectively include the uniqueness of higher education and lay the academic foundation ,making a unique and creative discipline construction road through successful practice ,enriching and strengthening general rules of discipline construction that combines theoretical research with application research ,and thoughts from loyalism to internationalism expand vast space for the discipline development ,and unity of thoughts and actions provides scientific methodology guidance for discipline construction. In the future ,we should adhere to practicing Mr. Pan’s discipline construction ideas to boost the new development of higher pedagogy in China.
