本文主要在中原经济区建设的时代背景下,运用多模态话语教学理论,立足于高职英语教学模式的改革,致力于探讨新型的高校外语教学模式。首先在进行实地考察的基础上,通过问卷调查的方法,分析了河南高职院校教师英语课堂的教学方式、教学手段和教学模式以及学生的学习方法、学习态度和学习困难,了解目前高职英语教学中存在的问题。然后将多模态教学模式运用到实际教学中,通过对比实验的方式来探讨在新的英语教学环境下,如何培养学生的多模态英语应用能力,帮助学生了解多种模态在交际中的意义及不同模态之间的关系,寻求一些提高学生学习兴趣和语言应用能力的教学模式和方法,以便更好地促进英语教学。

This paper is mainly to explore the new mode of foreign language teaching in colleges in the background of the construction of Central Plains Economic Zone, using the theory of multimodal discourse teaching and based on the reform of English teaching mode in higher vocational education. First on the basis of on-the-spot investigation and through the questionnaire survey method, this paper analyzes the teaching methods, teaching means and teaching mode of the Henan vocational colleges, and at the same time investigates the learning methods, learning attitudes and learning difficulties of the students in order to understand the problems existing in the current higher vocational English teaching. Then the multimodal teaching mode is applied to English teaching. Through comparative experiments, this paper explores how to cultivate students' multimodal English application ability in the new English teaching environments, helping students understand the meaning of the various modes in the communication and the relations between different modes and seeking some teaching models and methods to improve the students'learning interest and ability in order to better promote English teaching.
