张隐庵《伤寒论集注》对大承气汤之释义主要有三：一为大承气汤“乃大无不该”，二为大承气汤“承通体火热”，三为大承气即大青龙之义。此释义存在明显缺陷。大承气汤以“大”名之，仅示三承气汤适应证候有异；大承气汤乃为在里之阳明腑实之痞满燥实而设，其君药当为大黄，而非芒硝；大承气汤绝非表里同治之方。
장은암《상한론집주》대대승기탕지석의주요유삼：일위대승기탕“내대무불해”，이위대승기탕“승통체화열”，삼위대승기즉대청룡지의。차석의존재명현결함。대승기탕이“대”명지，부시삼승기탕괄응증후유이；대승기탕내위재리지양명부실지비만조실이설，기군약당위대황，이비망초；대승기탕절비표리동치지방。
s:The main point of interpretation to Dachengqi decoction by Zhang Yinan include three aspects.First, Dachengqi decoction contains all;second, Dachengqi decoction is used for heat in whole body;last, the significance of Dachengqi decoction as same as Daqinglong decoction.There are some defects in this interpretation.Here, we argue that the distunct of chengqi decoction is just due to the dirrerence, Dachengqi decoction is established for Yangming fu-viscera excess, but not for relieving both superficial and internal disorders, the sover-eign drug of Dachengqi is Rheum palmatum L.
