The pressure-difference method measuring principle and determination method of HCM -100 BOD5 instrument were introduced.Using the pressure-difference method of standard samples , petroleum chemical sewage samples were analyzed.Compared with dilute inoculation method , the analysis results showed that accuracy and precision of BOD5 measuring by HCM-100 BOD5 instrument pressure difference method and dilution inoculation method had no significant differences conformed to the state standards quality -control allowed range.The pressure-difference method overcame the weakness , such as trival dilution inoculation method operation , big workload , too much reagents using , difficult to determine diluted times , the operation is fast and simple , saves manpower and material resources advantages , and can be used for petroleum chemical wastewater analysis.
