油田开发过程中，经常出现油井结蜡问题，有些油井结蜡严重导致产量大幅下降，甚至停产。油井结蜡主要与温度、管壁剪切力、流速、蜡浓度梯度、含水率等因素有关。目前我国清防蜡采取的主要措施是热力和机械清蜡，近几年化学防蜡和微生物防蜡发展迅速。通过清除油井中的蜡，提高油井产量，增加产油效率。
