随着中国影响力的增强和国际地位的提高，中国法律英译的重要性日益突出，特别是禁止和制裁犯罪行为的刑法规范的翻译。文章从平行文本对比的角度对中国刑法规范的英译进行研究，从词汇、句式和篇章三个语言表现层面分析中国刑法规范英文译本和美国刑法规范的异同，旨在找出英文译本的不甚完善之处，进而提高刑法文本的英译水平。

With the growth of China’s clout and exaltation of the Chinese international position ,the translation of Chinese laws is becoming increasingly important ,especially the criminal laws that prohibit and punish criminal acts .The author proposes that we can study the translation by comparing the existing English versions of Chinese criminal laws with corresponding American criminal provisions from three aspects :lexical level ,syntactic level ,and textual level .The comparison is aimed at finding the flaws of the English translation and thereby improving the translation level of criminal laws .
