嘉道年间经世思潮兴起，知识分子开始关注现实，针对社会实际提出变革措施，时风所及，桐城派弟子也有着各自不同的经世思想。作为“姚门四杰”之一的刘开受学界关注较少，但其经世思想不仅继承了桐城派的经世传统，而且是构成嘉道经世思想的重要一环，具有一定的时代性与实用性。
嘉道年間經世思潮興起，知識分子開始關註現實，針對社會實際提齣變革措施，時風所及，桐城派弟子也有著各自不同的經世思想。作為“姚門四傑”之一的劉開受學界關註較少，但其經世思想不僅繼承瞭桐城派的經世傳統，而且是構成嘉道經世思想的重要一環，具有一定的時代性與實用性。
가도년간경세사조흥기，지식분자개시관주현실，침대사회실제제출변혁조시，시풍소급，동성파제자야유착각자불동적경세사상。작위“요문사걸”지일적류개수학계관주교소，단기경세사상불부계승료동성파적경세전통，이차시구성가도경세사상적중요일배，구유일정적시대성여실용성。
With the rise of the pragmatic thinking trend in the Jiaqing and Daoguang years, the intellectuals began to pay at-tention to the reality and proposed reform measures accordingly. Influenced by the then thinking trend, disciples of the Tongcheng School also had their own pragmatic thoughts. LIU Kai, one of the four talented students of YAO Lai, received little attention of scholars. His pragmatic thoughts not only inherited the tradition of the Tongcheng School but also constituted an important part of the pragmatic thoughts in the Jiaqing and Daoguang years.
