进入经济新常态，民族地区经济发展必须寻求新的动力和发展路径。目前四川民族地区的经济发展主要靠政策和资源要素驱动，存在产业结构单一、经济基础薄弱、基础设施落后、社会服务事业发展滞后等困境。在新常态下，应以政策驱动和要素驱动为基础，以创新驱动和改革驱动为核心，以利益驱动和机制体制驱动为两翼，以新型城镇化建设、培育旅游优势产业、利用新的区域规划机遇、深化市场改革、改革考评机制、完善社会保障体系为路径，推动四川民族地区经济健康、可持续发展。

In the new normal, economic development of national regions must seek a new impetus and development path. Economic development in ethnic areas in Sichuan, although has made great progress, but compared with other regions, still witness a large gap which is getting bigger. Economic development in ethnic minority regions in Sichuan currently depends mainly on policy and resource elements. It is confronted with such problems as single structure, weak economic foundation, and poor infrastructure. Social services lag behind. The sound and sustainable economic development in ethnic areas in Sichuan must not only be policy-driven and factor-driven, but also be innovation-driven and reform-driven. It must rely on new urbanization, tourism industries, new regional planning opportunity, deepening market reform, evaluation mechanism improvement, and the social security system upgrading.
