From 2002 to 2004, some ceramics of under-glaze design of the Six Dynasties unearned at three spots in Nanjing. Of them, a double-neck jar and a basin-mouthed vase can be restored completely, while the rest thirty pieces are broken, with such forms as xi, zhan and lid identifiable. Another major discovery since that of Tomb 5 at Changgangcun in 1983, the batch of the ceramics with its auspiciousdesignsare superb in terms of glaze, decoration and craftsmanship, as compared to those of the same period. They were made specially for the royal family. Its short presence in the Six Dynasties is correlated with the rise and fall of the Wu Kingdom.
