得体的行为举止是跨文化交际成功的重要因素.行为举止是特定群体、地域、民族、文化、政治宗教信仰、价值观念的产物,从这一点讲它有共性.但并非在同一环境中成长的所有人的行为举止都一样,所以它又有其个性.这种个性与一个人的小环境(父母、兄弟姐妹、亲戚朋友)有关.既然行为举止不是先天的,是受环境影响的,那么得体的行为举止是可以后天培养的.良好的教育、广阔的阅历和见识、宽容豁达的内心修养、正确的社会价值、审美观念都是培养得体的行为举止的养料.一个成功的跨文化交际者,要用积极的态度去认知、适应和接受异域的文化、言行举止,并能正确的认知、约束和戒掉自己的不良言行举止.

Good manner is an important factor in intercultural communication. Manner is subconsciously formed under the influence of tribe, region, ethnic group, culture, religion, social value and etc.. Thus it reflects the common behavior of the society one lives in, but also shows its individuality because of the small environmental influence of one＇ s family members and friends. Since it is not congenital, but nurtured. Then good manners can be acquired. Good education, broad reading and experiences, correct understanding of value and beauty and broad mindedness are all nutrients to nurture good behavior. A successful intercultural communicator should have a positive attitude to understand and adapt to foreign culture and manners as well as to exam his own manners, to abandon the bad manners of his own.
