An outstanding idea of higher education in the 21st century is people-centeredness,whose aim is to train students' subject personality from the aspect of their development in concrete educational teaching.The subject-development-oriented teaching is to promote all-round progress.It relies mainly on the students, tries to train their subject personality through guiding students in active study. It emphasizes that students' development is a course of producing oneself under the teacher's guide,and that they should try to change their study from the passive to active and inquiring.It is an effective approach to cultivating students' subject personality that the subject-development oriented teaching theory is applied to the vocal music teaching.
