在海明威小说文字所显露的冰山一角之下蕴藏着丰富的内涵.本文以其著名短篇<白象似的群山>中的画面场景为切入点,解读文字拼贴画、"留白"的画面艺术、平面视角这三种绘画技法在小说中的应用,说明若以画面解读法来阅读海明威式的小说,其文本本身并不晦涩难懂,而是结构致密,韵味无穷,并进而论证叙事艺术与视觉艺术的相通相融.

Innumerable connotations are implied underneath Hemingway＇s concise fictional words. From the perspective of the pictorial in Hills Like White Elephants, this paper interprets the application of the three painting techniques of literal collage, leaving blanks and plane angle in the novel and shows that by this means of interpretation the text itself is not subtle but very structural. This paper further testifies that narrative arts and visual arts are usually intermingled.
